Jay Garman

I couldn’t be happier that I chose to do my training with Vincent, Dyana, Neal and Karla at Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training.

Instead of pigeonholing myself into a particular style or approach, I’ve had an immensely rich exploration of yoga, from the ancient to the modern, offered by this range of true masters. My foundation will never be the same. I’m ready to share.

To Dyana, Karla, Neal and Vincent …

I think of each of you, as being among the most talented chefs in the world.  Your teachings have been a series of sophisticated degustation dining experiences of beautiful refinement and elegance all delivered with passion and remarkable skill. Each superbly crafted dish captured my full attention to consider, examine, and appreciate all the detail before consuming.

Lorraine Downes

All my previous yoga experiences have been about trying to ‘perfect’ the yoga movements and with that came a lot of judgement on myself when I clearly was unable to execute the movements as I watched the teacher. I did the classes, struggling through a lot of it and longed for the end - Savasana.

Since commencing my practice with you Karla, it has shown me that yoga doesn’t have to be about perfection, but more it is about gently connecting to our wondrous bodies, minds, hearts, and souls. I love the whole yoga practise now - all of it, not just the end Savasana. I enter each class not fearing it, but knowing it is going to make me feel soooo good. I leave the class feeling centred and my whole being feels that it has been loved, not judged, and for that I am forever grateful!

Sandra Palmer

The 300 hour yoga teacher training has surpassed all my expectations. The amazing blend of teachers results in a myriad of deep learning. Each teacher is an expert in their own area and shares their unique wealth of knowledge in a way which is easy to take on board.

The focus on developmental movement patterns, yoga therapy and restorative yoga combined with the yoga philosophy and anatomy/physiology woven throughout, means that this training is different from any other yoga training out there.

The training provides plentiful opportunities to develop self-awareness as yoga teachers and yoga therapists which will result in teachers/therapist with self- understanding and a grounding in the knowledge as well as a deeper understanding of others.

This has truly been a transformative experience.

Neal brings such a focused intensity to his classes that it is almost impossible not to be carried along in the teaching experience he provides.

Neal is able to make palpable the endless connections between the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga practice. His use of music and dance creates a learning experience that is holistic joyful and at times deeply sensuous.

At the same time he has an eye for detail in asana work but always emphasizes self-care, acceptance of individual differences and respect for students as core principles.

Recently, I had the honour of being taught and guided by Neal Ghoshal on a teacher training program. His gentle manner was only eclipsed by his breadth of experience and knowledge in the art of being a Yogi.

His sense of kindness & musical abilities opened my mind to what it is to embrace wholeness and to be a teacher that truly embodies the idea of loving presence.

I could not be happier to have chosen this course. It has completely exceeded any expectations.

I feel I have developed my own opinions and rational for how I will approach teaching, and that I am prepared well for the challenge that awaits me. It is interesting to see how differently individual members of the group used the information and teachings for our final assessments.

I think it speaks so highly of the quality of training that you can produce 15 skilled and confident teachers who have very different styles instead of just pumping out carbon copies of yourselves. Very well done all of you. Thank you.

All the teachers are truly experts in what they do and their passion is infectious. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to do a yoga teachers training. It was much more that that, it was a life changing amazing experience.

Thank you I am inspired, amazed, changed, still learning, moved. I am inspired to keep on learning and exploring and this course has totally changed my view and perception of yoga in a profound way.

Juliet Slovgrove

I found it absolutely fascinating to learn how and why the body works as it does. Everything was relevant, Dyana related each and every aspect we covered right from the cells to how they relate to the practice of yoga. This knowledge will definitely make me a better teacher, and there are many ways that I will be able to integrate it into my teaching.

I found Dyana really inspirational.

Just completed the 200 hour teacher training intensive (3 weeks) - a very empowering experience.

The teachers were outstanding: each teach from their own unique perspective inside a carefully crafted, well-designed programme of studies. This ensured strong synergies across all aspects of the course and a great combination of practice and theory.

I learned so much more than just asana, pranayama etc. This course is indeed contemporary yoga - with a focus on movement patterns and modern theory - I thoroughly recommend it.

I loved the close attention to body, breath and the relationship to the ground. That was something I really needed and will be useful in whatever work I do with people, no matter what. I loved all the spiritual stuff, into it, find it beautiful and useful.
