About / Bio
I am both a Registered Psychologist, 500 hour+ trained yoga teacher and a certified iRest teacher. I am a self-confessed “Type A Personality” in recovery (i.e. highly stressed and overachieving!). I was drawn to yoga by the clarity, calm and stillness it provided me.

I practiced on and off until a knee injury meant I couldn’t do my typical Type A exercise (multi-sports, hardcore gym workouts etc). I found myself in a place where I could not use exercise to manage my stress and had no choice but to find coping strategies that were internally based, primarily yoga and meditation practices.

I took time off from my private practice as a Registered Psychologist when my children were young and worked in public health in the suicide prevention and postvention sector. When I returned to working with individuals about 10 years later, I wanted to bring the body into therapy also, so in 2015 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Contemporary Yoga Centre. I have not looked back.
More Offerings
I work in private practice as a psychologist and offer what I call “Integrative Therapy”, blending Eastern and Western holistic influences.

I also offer 1-1 Trauma Sensitive yoga, iRest and general yoga sessions. My rooms are at Seven Senses Wellness Centre, 100A West End Rd, Westmere, Auckland.
Passionate About ...
I love bringing Yoga to those who would not usually step into a yoga studio and for whom the body has been inaccessible.

I am passionate about continuing to explore the interface between Yoga and Psychology.
