“KeiShana never seems to utter a word that doesn’t have a powerful impact on the listener.”
Sonya Simpson’s feedback to Yoga Lunchbox following Hau Ora Yoga Conference 2018

I didn’t arrive at this work through a straight line.

Like many of the people I now support, my early years were shaped by performance, discipline, and a quiet pressure to hold everything together. Yoga became one of the first spaces where I felt both challenged and confronted — and where I began the deeper work of self-awareness and healing.

When I became pregnant while living in Australia, I was immersed in positive birth philosophy and the power of informed, confident choices. That experience ignited a fire in me — one that led me home to New Zealand, into midwifery, and into decades of walking alongside people through profound life transitions.

Over the years, I have trained extensively in trauma-informed modalities including NLP, HNLP, Havening Techniques®, hypnotherapy, coaching, mindfulness, and yoga. What began in the birth space expanded naturally into supporting individuals and couples navigating stress, trauma, loss, burnout, and relationship challenges.

My work now sits at the intersection of nervous system science, relational depth, and lived experience.

I believe change is possible when people feel safe enough to look honestly at their patterns — and supported enough to step into something new.

Whether I am working in a therapy session, teaching yoga, facilitating groups, or holding retreat space, my intention is the same: to help people feel grounded, clear, and empowered in their lives.

I am also an artist. Painting is how I decompress — a way of integrating what I hold in the therapy room and transforming it into colour, texture, and beauty. Creativity keeps me resourced, reflective, and connected to the same process of growth and expression I invite my clients into.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside those who are ready for change.

I vividly remember my first interaction with KeiShana. I was 20 weeks pregnant with our beautiful daughter Esme, and needing desperately to find a midwife to replace the rather nonchalant one I had. I simply knew there could be more to birth than that.

In the space of a couple of days I was given KeiShana’s number by 4 unrelated people. Our first conversation left me feeling full. Full of confidence, joy, support and a deep respect and awareness for the fullness of transformation growing inside my belly and mind. Her care as a midwife /coach transcended the status quo, allowed for open, honest conversations about birth - both of the mama and the baby. Conversations grounded in science but propelled into a higher space and perspective of viewing life, if indeed that was what I wanted. And yes, it was. That birth opened up a new place in me.
